A family who were enjoying a picnic at Keiss beach made a fishy discovery at the weekend.
Believed to be an Oarfish, more commonly found in the temperate and tropical waters of the Atlantic Ocean, it was found beached on the Caithness coast.
The family who discovered it say that they have never seen anything like it before and are looking for more information why it was found in Keiss.
