Ukrainian flag cookies are being made and sold by a family-run Caithness deli business to help the humanitarian effort following the invasion of the country by Russian forces.

Stacks deli, bakery and coffee house at John O'Groats is offering the treats at £1.50 each until Sunday with all proceeds going to an appeal set up by UNICEF, the United Nations Children's Fund.

The cookies are iced in the blue and yellow colours of the Ukraine flag.

Stacks is owned and run by mother and daughter Teresa and Rebecca Wymer.

"It was actually my mum's idea but it's a team effort," Rebecca said.

"We're doing it all this week, right up until Sunday. I've made about 100 so I'll probably make more for the weekend as well.

"We've had people who can't come out to buy cookies but they've offered to send a donation, which is nice.

"I'm just hoping they sell over the weekend. I'm happy to make as many as people want to buy.

"I think everyone wants to do something. We'll post the final total [on Facebook] on Sunday night or Monday."
