Wick High School (WHS) posted a bulletin on its online information board today stating that it had recently gained a Bronze award as part of the SCQF School Ambassador Programme.

The Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF) School Ambassador programme offers schools the opportunity to learn more about the benefits of the SCQF and the wider pathways in which it supports learners.

The bulletin stated: "Our WHS Ambassador team recently undertook training on the work of the SCQF and engaged with pupils and parents at our recent senior parent’s evenings.

"As part of our work with the SCQF, we have been expanding the range of qualifications available and working with our partners to recognise achievement across the school."

The school says it is "delighted with progress being made" and aims to continue their work, achieving the Silver award in 2023.

Hannah Sinclair, Rory Miller, Kaiden Haggerty and Faith Baijal also form part of the Senior Ambassador Group.

The SCQF helps people of all ages and circumstances to access the education and training that is appropriate to them over their lifetime.
