SNP's Karl Rosie to stand at next Westminster general election

HIGHLAND councillor Karl Rosie has been elected by SNP members to stand at the next Westminster general election in the Caithness, Sutherland and Easter Ross constituency.

Thurso-born and educated, Mr Rosie represents Thurso and Northwest Caithness on the local authority and works for Highlands and Islands MSP Maree Todd. He worked in the nuclear and oil sectors before entering politics.

"I am thrilled to have opportunity to stand for the SNP in this brilliant constituency," he said. "I intend to build on the campaigns that I have progressed as a Highland councillor with communities to redesign health and social care and support business, community development and the renewables industry."
