TWO drop-in sessions for those interested in developing small-scale or single wind-turbine projects in Caithness are being run by Scottish Natural Heritage and charity Community Energy Scotland.

The sessions in Halkirk will see staff on hand to provide advice on potential impacts on nature and landscapes and the feasibility of individual projects.

The event will be held over two days at the Ulbster Arms Hotel in Halkirk – on Wednesday, May 25 and Wednesday, June 1. from 11am to 7pm.

Tom Kellett, SNH’s Caithness area officer, said: "Caithness is recognised as an extremely important area of Scotland for its nature and landscapes and that is why we are trying to help by providing advice on future renewables projects."
