Santa’s little helpers want to hear from Caithness folk in need of a little extra this Christmas

People in Caithness needing a helping hand to give their children gifts this Christmas can now register with the Caithness FM Toy Appeal.

The local radio station is holding its 30th annual toy appeal, with gifts being sought for underprivileged children across the county.

More than 400 youngsters benefited from the generosity of local people who supported last year’s appeal and the station is again asking the public to donate items such as toys, books, toiletries, pyjamas or anything that a child from newborn to 18 could use.

The appeal is now asking for anybody who needs a little extra help to contact its dedicated Elf Line.

If you have children who will be under 18 on December 16, you can call the elves and register. You will be asked for your children’s names and ages and be given a date and location to collect your gifts.

To register, phone the elves on 07712 468540 between 9am and 6pm, Monday to Sunday until December 16. Please note text messages will not be accepted.
