SANTA Claus made an early delivery to Thurso’s Riverbank medical centre after hearing it was desperately needing an ECG machine.

Its equipment broke down but Father Christmas came to the rescue after receiving an SOS from his local helpers, Caithness Chest and Heart Support Group.

After delivering the state-of-the-heart unit, the man of the moment thought it would be a good idea to have his ticker checked, given his hectic rounds at the weekend, and all the practice’s doctors attended.
