Staff from Rolls-Royce at Vulcan did their bit for the environment when they took part in a Clean Up Your Caithness community event.

Employees were encouraged to finish work early and spent an afternoon collecting litter in a location of their choice. A wide area was covered, with litter picked up in Wick, Thurso, Castletown, Scrabster, Dunnet, Halkirk, Reiss and Westfield, resulting in a noticeable improvement.

As an additional benefit to the area, all purchased litter-pickers will be donated to local communities for future initiatives.

The company has an active community charter and welcomes applications of interest from any local groups that need a helping hand. The email address is vulcan.community@rolls-royce.com for any group that would like to be considered.
