ROCKNESS will not return for 2015, casting major doubts over whether what had become known as one of the biggest music festivals in Scotland will ever take place again.

Organisers confirmed the event, which has been held annually at Dores, near Loch Ness, will not be returning this year after the 2014 event was also cancelled.

RockNess, which was established in 2006 and attracted up to 30,000 visitors annually, was reportedly cancelled last year as no date could be found which didn’t clash with the World Cup or the Commonwealth Games.

Organisers have not revealed any plans for the event to return in 2016.
