The A836 has been reopened after a four vehicle crash between Reay and Thurso earlier this afternoon.

A call was made to the police around 2.55pm today (Friday) reporting the accident. A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Emergency services attended and three people have been taken to hospital. The road has now re-opened."

While the accident was being attended to motorists were asked to avoid the area around Forss and a local diversion was put in place.
