The local authority is currently holding elections in a bid to reinstate community councils in areas where they have fallen by the wayside.
In Caithness, Bower community council was suspended last October after not enough nominations were submitted to allow the groups to re-form.
To stand as a candidate, all you have to do is nominate yourself by completing and submitting the online nomination form by 12pm on Tuesday, January 30.
Candidates must be 16 years of age, live within the community council boundary and be a registered voter.
The online nomination form and guidance notes on how to complete it are available at: www.highland.gov.uk/ccelections
