Fresh flooding closes Far North and Kyle lines AGAIN, ScotRail confirms

Railway disruption is again causing misery for train passengers in the north after the Far North Line flooded again, just hours after it reopened following an earlier deluge.
ScotRail and Network Rail Scotland both confirmed the line had closed again in posts to their social media channels shortly after 1.30pm.
As with the previous disruption, the flooding is once again affecting the line in the area near Muir of Ord.

It comes after a spate of wintry showers peppered the region with snow and sleet overnight and on Wednesday, and with two further yellow warnings for snow and ice set to affect the region as we head into the weekend.
Confirming the closure of the lines, Network Rail Scotland said: "The line between Muir of Ord and Dingwall is closed due to reports of flooding in the area.
"Engineers are heading to the site and once they have carried out further inspections, we will provide a further update on this."
ScotRail added: "We have had reports of flooding between Muir of Ord and Dingwall. For safety reasons, trains will be suspended until the water level drops to a more suitable level."
ScotRail is trying to arrange bus replacements for some services.
The 1.35pm Inverness to Kyle of Lochalsh service has been replaced by a D&E bus which will "be on-site at Inverness for 2pm".
And the 5.13pm Kyle of Lochalsh to Inverness journey is also replaced by a D&E bus.
