Latheron Parish Ploughing Association's annual ploughing match – originally scheduled for this weekend – has been postponed until next month because of the weather.

It had been due to go ahead this Saturday at Quoys of Reiss Farm, by permission of Liam Gunn. The rearranged date is Saturday, November 19.

Ploughing will start at 9am and competitors need to be finished by 2pm. The presentation of prizes will take place at the steading around 4.30pm.

Latheron Parish Ploughing Association's last annual match was held in January this year at Cogle Farm, Watten, after two failed attempts last autumn when rain led to postponements. The event saw a third overall win for Gavin Robertson.

The Scottish Ploughing Championships returned to Caithness last weekend, hosted by Morgan and Nicola Milne at Stanstill.
