Quoybrae sale sees natural grazing sorts in demand

Quoybrae Aberdeen and Northern Marts on Monday sold 519 store cattle.

Store Bullocks (315) averaged to 312.1p per kg and sold to 395.5p for a 397kg Limousin Cross from Lhaid Croft, Occumster and £1930 gross for a Charolais Cross from Brae Edge, Castletown.

Aberdeen Angus Bullocks (29) averaged to 285p per kg and sold to 331.5p for a pen of 4 371kg from Thuster Mains, Bilbster and £1735 gross for a pen of five 633kg from Blackpark, Watten.

Store Heifers (171) averaged 295.1p per kg and sold to 344.9p per kg for a 374kg Limousin Cross from Lhaid Croft, Occumster and £1760 gross for a 703kg Simmental Cross from Kiess Mains, Keiss.

Aberdeen Angus Heifers (4) sold to 265.4p and £1590 gross for a 599kg from Kirkfield, Castletown.
