Prison warning for Wick drug-driver who breached work order – twice

A drug-driver who breached an unpaid work order twice could be heading for prison.

Brandon Davidson (24) was said to have completed only three days of work of a 65-hour order, Wick Sheriff Court heard on Thursday.

It prompted Sheriff Neil Wilson to call for a background report and warn Davidson: “This is entirely unacceptable. It is not your first breach but your second, and you only managed three days. I warn you that it will be open to me to send you to prison.”

The unpaid work order was imposed earlier this year after Davidson, of North Murchison Street, Wick, admitted driving with a level of 3.7mcg of Delta-9-Tetrahydrocannabinol. The legal limit is 2mcg.

In addition to the unpaid work, he was banned from driving for a year.

The offence occurred in Martha Terrace, Wick, on November 2, last year.

Davidson admitted his latest breach by again failing to attend work appointments and will be sentenced on October 2.
