PPP street party in Wick this Saturday – fun for everyone

Pulteneytown People's Project in Wick is having a street party on Saturday to celebrate 21 years of dedicated support support to the local community.
Jennifer Harvey, PPP development officer, said that the event on July 1 is on from noon to 4pm at the Pulteney Centre on Huddart Street and the public can expect an afternoon of "music, dance and fun for everyone".
She added: "We've got loads going on all day and most of it is free for everyone. There will be lots of entertainment from many talented artists and loads of fun as well."
More events are being added to the celebration day which currently includes pipers, a brass band, music from Addy Harper, Donald Ross with Andrew Harper on guitar, Highland dancing, majorettes, open mic for local talent, emergency services vehicles, street line dancing, bouncy castles, face painting, hair braiding, duck race, sandpits, messy play, water and loads more.
The compere for the event is Willie Mackay and if the weather turns bad events will continue within the Pulteney Centre building.
