Police probe robbery at Wick’s Dunnets Garage

A ROBBERY at Wick’s Dunnets Garage – believed to have been committed at knife point – has left the town in shock.

Police are searching for a man described as being in his 20s, around 5’4 in height and of skinny build after he entered the petrol station in Francis Street on Wednesday night before demanding money from the cashier.

The cashier was not injured during the incident, which is said to have happened at 9.10pm.

The man is believed to have made off with £100 in the direction of Dempster Street. He was wearing a light grey hooded top with the hood up.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or anything suspicious in the area is urged to contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
