Police Scotland hunt Wick bus vandal who left Highland Council with bill for smashed window

Police in Wick are hunting a vandal who smashed a bus window.

The culprit struck sometime over the weekend of May 9 to May 12, with damage to the vehicle belonging to Highland Council discovered by a staff member.

Police Scotland has issued an appeal for anyone with information on the incident to get in touch.

A police spokesman said: “We are appealing for information in relation to a vandalism which occurred in Wick Industrial Estate at the rear of the recycling centre.

“Between May 9 and May 12, 2025, a single decker coach operated by the Highland Council was left parked up.

“On the morning of May 12, a staff member arrived and discovered a window on the bus had been smashed.

“Any person with information in relation to the vandalism please contact police on 101 and quote incident ref 0858 of 12/05/2025.”
