Police carry out RTC investigation work at Occumster

Police vehicles were witnessed carrying out an investigation this morning at the site of a fatal road traffic incident on the A99 that occurred in 2021.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said it related to "further investigation into the fatal Road Traffic Collision [RTC] in the area on 22 August, 2021".

The spokesperson continued: "Officers will be carrying out investigation work on the A99 at Occumster in Caithness from around 11.30am for approx one hour.

"There will be sporadic road closures but traffic will be regularly allowed to clear."
