Any tourists heading through Wick on the North Coast 500 route last week might have thought they'd overshot the town and ended up in the Arctic Circle if they saw this polar bear peering out from the former Francis Street Club.

"I’ll be out in a minute, I’m bearly dressed."
"I’ll be out in a minute, I’m bearly dressed."

The bear was a mascot of the club and, no doubt, to allay rumours he'd gone AWOL was set up in a prime position with blinds open and lights on to illuminate him.

Hopefully he's got plenty of "Ice Krispies" to keep him nourished.
