Plant Magick talk entertains members of Latheron SWI
Latheron SWI’s May meeting saw members take a trip to Angela Squires at Plant Magick, Aukengill.
Angela explained to members the process of producing her products from growing the plants until the finished product. She showed members round her polytunnel and explained the medicinal properties of each plant and what they were used for. Several of the members tried her herbal teas.
She makes salves for both skin complaints and to reduce pain; rubs to help with breathing, pillow spray to help with sleep and bath herbs to soak away aches and pain.
Carol Grant thanked Angela for her very interesting and informative talk.
Members then enjoyed a lovely meal in the Village Inn, Keiss.

The Federation meeting is to be held on June 12 in Spittal Hall. The speaker is Jim McCourt who will talk about “Mindfulness”.
The competitions are: Card or gift for Father’s Day (any craft) and three pieces of cake/traybake using rhubarb.
SWI headquarters are in the process of changing charity status to become a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation. Latheron SWI members unanimously approved this change.
