A MODEL design will help residents in the Lybster area envisage future planning initiatives.

Latheron, Lybster and Clyth Community Council (LLCCDC) is undertaking a community consultation over the coming weeks – funded by the Camster Wind Farm fund and supported by Lybster Community Council.

A three-dimensional model of Lybster is planned to be made like the one featured here.

The consultation will involve the design of a 3D model of the village which will be taken to each event for the purpose of gathering local residents' views on a range of community issues.

This particular type of consultation is called "Planning for Real" and has been used for a number of years to great effect, according to a LLCCDC spokesperson.

Several local volunteers have been trained as researchers and will be helping with the consultation process.

Consultation dates will be published soon and publicity for the events will be advertised through the LLCCDC website, social media platforms, posters and local press.

Anyone wishing to be notified by email regarding the consultation dates, updates from the events, or any other information, can subscribe on the LLCCDC page at www.llccdc.co.uk/community-consultation-planning-for-real
