PICTURES: Youngsters receive their prizes at Caithness Riding for the Disabled Association end-of-term event

Winners from the Caithness branch of the Riding for the Disabled Association received their awards at the end-of-term prize-giving in the indoor centre at Halkirk.

Everyone was welcomed by the group's chairperson, Judith Miller.

Coach for ride one was Leeann Hope and the trophies for this ride were presented by Sheena Budge.

Maggie's West Coast Friends Shield for effort: Ella Martin.

Wick High School YPI Shield for best rider: Robbie Fulton.

Hearts of Gold Shield for progress: Iain Dunbar.

Whitefield Lady Zena Cup for achievement: Kaiden Gunn.

Wick High Charities Day 2013 Cup for endeavour: Alicja Zimowska.

Ride two coach was Steph Cowe.

The rosettes and trophies for this ride were handed over by Seonaid Blance and Corrine McPhail, equine students at UHI North Highland.

Monica Campbell Memorial Shield for bravest: Teegan Cannop.

Wick High YPI Shield for best rider: Charlie Litchfield.

Lady Jessamine Harmsworth Cup for most improved: Finlay Beresford.

The Curlew Shield commemorating the Queen's Diamond Jubilee for most enthusiastic rider: Paige Billington.

Hannah MacDonald Memorial Cup for perseverance: Alex-Lee Miller.

The coach for ride three was Mary Elder, with Heather Rosie handing over the trophies on behalf of the Dale Rosie Memorial Fund.

Shield presented by Liz Hewitson for achievement: Cameron Bremner.

Raymond Mackenzie Memorial Cup for most improved: Ollie Jones.

RDA 40th Anniversary Cup for progress: Lola Patterson.

Wick High Charities Day 2013 Cup for best rider: Kaiden Malcolm.

Dale Rosie Memorial Shield for best position: Jakob Taylor.

Ponies used are Whisky and Byron, loaned by Steph Cowe, coach of the second group, and Max, Charlie and Geordie, hired from Marion Bain at Achalone Activities.
