The 2025 East of Caithness SWI bulb show was held on Saturday in Wick Assembly Rooms.

Lilian Wark kindly opened the show with an amusing talk on her own gardening experiences and then presented the winners’ trophies.

A spokeswoman said: “It was wonderful to see such a beautiful display of bulbs, floral art, baking and handicrafts by the members with so much work put into all exhibits.

“It was also fantastic to see the event so well supported by SWI members from both sides of the county and the public, who enjoyed a welcome brew and delicious baking donated and served by a fabulous team of volunteers.”

Judging the bulb exhibits were Liz Hewitson and Anne Gunn, the handicrafts and floral art were judged by Alison Sutherland and Jackie Phares.
