The KW1 Kool Water Sw1mmers group laid aside their Christmas puddings to take a festive dip in the cold waters of Ackergill harbour on December 25.

Over a dozen wild water swimmers got together on Christmas Day to enter the harbour and enjoy the refreshingly cool experience. The cold winter snap did not deter group members from taking the many picture snaps reproduced here and all were happy to line up for a portrait shot at the entrance to Ackergill harbour.

Roz Fleming, a member of the group, said: "There was so much fun when the KW1 Kool Water Sw1mmers held their annual Christmas morning dip at Ackergill Harbour.

"They had crazy Christmas jumps, a Secret Santa, a cozy fire pit, a delicious Polish festive treat and plenty of laughs. They were even joined by their newest member Lily, who at only a few weeks old was brought along by her mum.

"We were delighted to say that the weather was kind to us again. Christmas just wouldn’t be the same without our festive dip."

Group members wore festive hats and were delighted to call it a day and get rubbed down with their warm fluffy towels at the end of the swim.
