Almost 150 people attended a prize bingo event at Miller Academy primary school to help raise funds for a special school trip later this year.

Held in the school's gym, the fundraising event was staged to help pay for a residential trip to Loch Insh in May for P7 pupils.

Headteacher, Jacqui Budge, said: "It was such a wintry evening and yet we had 149 at our bingo event which we are so grateful for.

"We are indebted to one of our lovely early years practitioners, Mrs [Annette] Mackay, for being a most professional bingo caller and it was lovely to see so many families play this together. £671.60 was raised at the event, which is an excellent amount.

"This was our final fundraiser for our P7 residential trip and in total, due to the excellent support of our children and families, we have raised £6338.57!”
