Noss Primary youngsters bring cheer to care home residents during special end of term visit
Despite a damp start to the day in Wick, there was no shortage of sunshine inside Seaview Care Home on Tuesday, as 29 pupils from Noss Primary School received a warm welcome from residents.
The children, who are moving on to high school after the summer holidays, arrived full of energy and smiles, ready for a special morning of fun, laughter, and plenty of sweet treats.
Residents and pupils alike enjoyed freshly baked cupcakes and other tasty goodies, creating a “lovely atmosphere” filled with chatter and joy between generations.
Adding a touch of magic to the occasion was a special performance from “Mr Bojangles the Dancing Pony”, accompanied by Natalie Oag, whose visit added a memorable highlight to the morning.
Seaview residents Cathy and Gavin also enjoyed the morning’s activities. “It was lovely to have them,” they said. “Great chat, and hearing about their stories is super.”
Moira also shared her thoughts on the young visitors, joining fellow residents at care home in wishing them the very best for their new term.
“We think they’ll do fantastically well,” she said. “They’re a credit to their school and their families.”
Seaview House activities coordinator Carina McLauchlan added: “It was a day full of connection, celebration, and community spirit for sure.
“We thank Natalie for coming along and also the wonderful staff from Noss Primary School.”
