PICTURES: Macmillan cancer fundraiser at Thurso school is a big success
Children and families at Miller Academy Primary School and ELC in Thurso had a super busy MacMillan morning recently – raising a hugely impressive sum for the cancer charity.
Offering a mix of goodies to browse and buy on the sales tables there were also plenty of refreshments on hand as well.
Head teacher Jacqui Budge said: “We were very proud of our P7 children who manned all of the sales stalls and who also helped with the refreshments.
"As always, our school was superbly supported by our wonderful families and we are delighted that through their kindness £2436.19 was raised for the local branch of MacMillan.
"Our staff and volunteers were a fantastic help to us and all of our stalls, games, nail painting and baking were very popular.”
