John Robertson said: “I was absolutely delighted to be back up in Thurso at the AG coaching school. It was superbly organised again and the enthusiasm and the talent of the kids were once again on show as they took part in every session with great enjoyment.

“To see the smiles on their faces and the joy they get from joining in and playing football is always a delight to see and Alyn should be very proud of the camps he puts on.”

Jose Quitongo added: “I really enjoyed my time in Thurso. The kids are so good and it was so easy to coach them. Thank you to Alyn and his family for inviting me and for looking after me."

AG Coaching’s Alyn Gunn said: “It was a great pleasure to have both John and Jose up coaching our local talents. We are very lucky that we have the ability to get top coaches and ex-professional players up to this part of the world so it was very appreciated by everyone involved in the event that they both came up and we all had a great time.

“John's pedigree speaks for itself as a former Hearts, Livingston and two-time Caley Thistle manager and Jose always brings fun and laughter into his sessions, so it was great to have them both part of an excellent weekend.

“Many thanks to all sponsors and to Richie of Thurso Football Academy and Ava and Liam the highlife highland young leaders for there support over the weekend.”

Players of day one were named as Amelia Gemmell , Maisie Mcadie and Andrew Sutherland.

On day two, the players of the day were Brodie Norburn, Dave Steven and Liam Sinclair.

Each award winner received an AG Coaching hoodie, sponsored by Arnold Clark.
