Two enterprising young brothers from Dunbeath have again shown their support for those in need by setting up a lemonade stall to raise money for Caithness Foodbank.

Dunbeath Primary School pupils Ollie and Sammie Hall made and sold refreshing lemonade and delicious cakes to friends, neighbours and tourists in the village.

They raised £70 through their endeavours, and their parents matched the amount – allowing them to spend £140 on items required for Caithness Foodbank.

Ollie, who will be nine in September, made the lemonade and six-year-old Sammie baked a selection of cakes.

For the second year in a row, they set up their stall near the village harbour and attracted a steady stream of thirsty and hungry customers.

The brothers delivered their generous donation in person last Wednesday and took great care in weighing the items. In all, 68kg of food and toiletries were added to the Caithness Foodbank shelves.

Foodbank chairman Grant Ramsay said: "We were overwhelmed by the efforts of these enterprising lads. They are a credit to their family, to Dunbeath Primary School and to the community."

Last year the brothers raised £132.
