Crossroads Primary School and Scallywags Early Learning Centre (ELC) held a MacMillan Coffee morning on Wednesday, October 5 and raised over £250.

The head teacher Pauline Pearson said: "We are absolutely delighted to be able to host events again in school and there was a great buzz whilst the children baked in preparation for friends, family and members of the community.

"We raised an amazing amount of £255.61 for MacMillan Cancer Support by a door donation, a bake sale and a guess the dragon's name which was very popular with the children. Dusty the dragon has been donated to the school for the children to play with and guard their school and ELC. We are very proud of the children for baking, setting up and tidying up of the coffee morning and are looking forward to our next community event".
