PICTURES: Caithness captures the spectacular Northern Lights show over the weekend





Intense solar activity on Friday evening and then on Saturday led to some spectacular sightings of the Aurora Borealis above Caithness.

Readers shared some of their best images that captured the unusual activity and vibrant colours in the sky.
