Wick High School’s Christmas Concert took place on December 19 in the ECCC Dance Studio and raised £250 for the Caithness Foodbank in Wick.

The evening was a successful end to the year for pupils, parents, teachers and all who came along to enjoy the musical extravaganza last Tuesday evening.

Over 50 pupils participated from across the school and 130 tickets were sold. The promotional material was created by two S1 pupils, winners of a competition run in each of the S1 Interdisciplinary Learning Classes. Gracie Melvin’s poster and Connor Carter’s tickets showcased the Canva skills and understanding of the "features of design" they had been developing in class.

Music teacher Eilidh Patterson helped organise a spectacular evening of local young talent and accompanied performers at various points throughout the event.

Lucy Thain, S2 and Andrew Sinclair, S3 expertly hosted the concert with great finesse and hit the audience with hilarious Christmas cracker style jokes, punctuating the musical performances, that had the people rolling in the aisles.
