Santa Claus is coming to town and on Friday and Saturday he paid a visit to the people of Halkirk with a specially adapted sleigh.
Alastair Budge and the Milton mob from Halkirk dusted off their Santa's float from last year and travelled around the streets of the village over the two nights to the delight of the children. The collection was for the Glasgow Children's Hospital charity. Sweets were donated by Mandy MacDonald of Splurge gift shop and local drainage contractor Martin Munro.
Friday night was a practice run for the big event the following day and photographer James Gunn was out to capture the key moments pictured here.
Alastair said: "It was just us with a few friends and family members taking part. The Milton mob is our gala float. We're from Milton farm.
"We're still raising money and it's been going well. We had around 80 kids out in the streets in total. The conditions were good on the Saturday and I think there was more than just local kids out for it. There was a lot more support than last year."
If anyone would like to donate to the Halkirk Christmas team's good cause there are collection points in the village at the Ulbster Arms, McColl's shop on Sinclair Street, Splurge gift shop on Bridge Street and Driftwood shops in Wick and Thurso.
