Pharmacy-led fundraiser for chest, heart and stroke charity in Wick promises ‘community atmosphere’
A special night of live music and “community atmosphere” is set to take over the Wick Assembly Rooms next Saturday as “Highland Heart Beats” takes the stage in aid of a vital chest health charity.
Organised by Pulteney pharmacy (Right Medicine), the event will raise funds for Chest, Heart & Stroke Scotland (CHSS), with every penny raised being used to support people affected by chest, heart and stroke conditions.
The charity, CHSS, provides practical support to individuals and families affected by life-limiting health issues and helps fund research that aims to prevent and better treat these conditions.
The over-18s event will take place on Saturday, July 5, with doors opening at 7.30pm, and live performances kicking off shortly after.
Local music fans can look forward to a stacked line-up featuring the high-energy Inverness-based band, Eilidh and the Energy, as well as performances from local bands, Socialites and Katanes.

A raffle and a licensed bar (cash only) will also be available, adding to what is expected to be a lively and fun evening of fundraising.
‘Early bird’ tickets are available now from the pharmacy on Dempster Street, or The Norseman Hotel, priced at £10. Entry at the door on the night is priced at £15, subject to availability.
Organisers are encouraging as many people as possible to get involved, with a simple message: “Everyone is welcome, so don’t miss out. Bring your family, friends and neighbours to come along and have some fun. Let's make a significant contribution to the wonderful Chest, Heart and Stroke Scotland and continue to support the vital work they carry out.”
