Queenie is a lovable Jack Russel terrier cross looking for a new home.

She is currently being cared for by the Scottish SPCA Caithness and Sutherland Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre at Balmore.

Queenie loves human attention and is very affectionate with those she trusts. Before coming to the Caithness centre, she had very little experience of the big wide world and finds everyday situations overwhelming. The society is looking for someone local to adopt her so that they would be able to visit her at the centre several times before taking her home.

Queenie is learning to walk on a lead and can walk nicely next to other dogs, but prefers her space and would like to live in an adult-only home where she is the only pet.

Can you give an animal a loving home? Every year the Scottish SPCA’s Caithness and Sutherland Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre at Balmore, near Thurso, provides a safe haven for all sorts of animals that have nowhere else to go. This can be for a variety of reasons – abuse, abandonment, death of their owner or even the simple fact their owner is no longer able to look after them.

While they’re loved at the Caithness and Sutherland centre, the staff want just one thing for the animals in their care – for them to find a loving forever home.

If you think you’re that person and have room in your life for a pet, visit scottishspca.org/rehome/rehome

All rehoming is taking place online at the moment.
