Pentland Parish to get new minister

A NEW minister is to be inducted to a Caithness parish at the end of the month. The Rev. Janet Easton Berry will take over the Church of Scotland Pentland Parish, which includes Canisbay, Keiss, Dunnet and Olrig, after the induction service on July 30.

She is originally from South Africa and was previously a minister on Skye.

Her predecessor, Rev Lyall Rennie, who is now retired, said: "We are delighted that after many years of waiting we will have an induction of a new minister to Pentland Parish on Friday, July 30 in Canisbay church at 7pm to which all are welcome."
