TOP British hairdresser Patrick Cameron showcased his skills at the North Highland College in Thurso.

The well-known hair products company, Wella, sponsored the event, which attracted 80 hairdressers from across the Highlands to demonstrate their styling ability.

Patrick, who is a renowned long-hair expert, demonstrated his skill and flair during a live display held in the foyer of the newly opened Engineering Technology and Energy Centre.

Assisted by a team of Wella professionals, Patrick captivated the audience with his demonstration of 13 styles, patiently taking them step by step through each technique.

SVQ level two and three students also attended and raised £141.20 in a raffle, donated by Wella, the proceeds of which will go to local charities.

Throughout the day, the audience was delighted by Patrick’s creativity, which saw him effortlessly use various techniques to create volume and movement in the styles he brought to life.

He also re-created older techniques such as backcombing and marshall waving.

Members of the audience were regularly selected to assist Patrick on stage during his demonstration.

As well as two professional models, two local women were selected as models for the day.
