STAFF at The Original Factory Shop in Thurso and Wick are on the look-out for a local good cause to be their charity partner for 2013 as part of the retail chain’s ‘Make A Difference’ community campaign.

Launched in 2009, the campaign has helped raise more than £280,000 for hundreds of UK charities.

Any organisation wishing to apply to receive support from their local store must fill in a form available on The Original Factory Shop’s Facebook page (Make A Difference tab) before Friday, 11 January 2013.

Each store will have a target of raising at least £500 for the good causes selected.

Thurso store manager Julie-Ann Mackenzie, said: “We’ve been raising funds for Make A Wish this year and with the partnership due to end at the end of this year, we’re now searching for a local charity to team up with in 2013.”

“We’re dedicated to making a difference to our local community and are all really looking forward to next year’s campaign.”
