St John’s Scottish Episcopal Church in Wick is opening its doors on Wednesday afternoons throughout the summer and will welcome any visitors wishing to pop in.

The church in Moray Street (on the corner of Francis Street) will be staffed to allow the public to look around and examine stained-glass windows and memorial plaques, as well as finding out about the aspects of an Episcopal church that differentiate it from other denominations.

There is no charge and a free leaflet is available to guide you around the historic building. There will also be a selection of novels and non-fiction bargain books on sale for church funds. There is a collection of books on WWII battles, still in new condition.

These Open Wednesdays will run until September (noon until 3pm).
