As part of Scottish Careers Week, Skills Development Scotland (SDS) has a nationwide online session for parents and carers of school leavers on Wednesday (November 17).

Parents and carers can find out more about the range of options and opportunities available for their young person and how parents and carers can support them.

SDS careers advisers Fiona Beltrami and Pamela Kelly will be providing expert advice and there will be opportunities for parents and carers to ask questions during the session.

Pamela said: "For those young people who may be moving on from school, this is a time where they will be making informed decisions about their next steps, considering what they want to do and how they can do that. Support from their parents and carers is invaluable and so important at this time.

"During our online session, parents and carers will get information about the different options their young person can consider and the opportunities that are available. Help is also available on SDS’s online home for career information and advice My World of Work."

Parents and carers can join the session, which is from 6.30pm until 7.15pm, by registering here – registration can be made on Eventbrite.
