A Thurso hair and beauty salon is hosting a fun day for its official opening and all money raised will go to Caithness Foodbank.

Apart from gents' and children's cuts available there will also be free skin and foil fades. Donations will be given to Caithness Foodbank.

The business said that "whether it is a donation of cash or even just a single tin of beans it will be hugely appreciated".

There will be a free raffle – every customer coming through the door has a chance to win a bottle of whisky. The draw will be announced at the end of the day.

Balloons and sweets will be available for the kids to take away too.

The event runs from 10am to 4pm on Friday, May 19 at Kelly's Kuts on Sinclair Street in Thurso.
