Staff at the Pearson Practice in Wick put their photography skills to the test when the Aurora Borealis showed its true colours on Thursday evening.
The Northern Lights, as the phenomena are also known, were visible across much of the Highlands.
Readers have started to send in their own photos of last night's light show.
The aurora is caused by particles from solar storms on the sun's surface getting trapped in the Earth's magnetic field and colliding with molecules in the atmosphere.
