No plea on police assault charges in Thurso





A Thurso man has been accused of police assault.

Scott John Allan is facing two counts of assaulting officers in Thurso during December last year.

The 25-year-old made no plea and was granted bail by Sheriff Lindsay Foulis at Wick, on Tuesday, pending further inquiry.

Meanwhile, in a separate case, a Thurso woman has been charged with assaulting a police officer in the town.

Kalunga Chisaka made no plea during a brief appearance in private at Wick Sheriff Court also on Tuesday. The 45-year-old was allowed bail by Sheriff Lindsay Foulis, pending further inquiry.

The offence is said to have occurred in Thurso in January.
