Pupils returning to Wick High School (WHS) today after their summer break will still be following Covid protocols but with the addition of staggered break times

A WHS bulletin stated: "We look forward to welcoming all of our staff and pupils back to the school this week after a relaxing summer holiday. Please be reminded that pupils should not attend school until Tuesday 17th August as this Monday will be used for staff training.

"Much of the Covid-19 protocols remain in place, as before, but there has been a change to the break and lunchtime arrangements from previous terms. We now have all of S1, S2 and S3 having break and lunch together, with S4, S5 and S6 doing the same at a separate time."

Thurso High School also posted a "welcome back" message on social media and sent out an email to all parents and carers regarding back to school arrangements. It also urged the new intake of S1 pupils to email the school if they had any worries or queries.

The message continued: "Just a reminder that all Covid mitigating procedures remain in place for now including wearing of facemasks at all times (unless exempt) and regular lateral flow testing is encouraged for all."
