New health and safety boss takes on role at Thurso-based construction support firm Enerpro





Thurso-based construction support firm Enerpro has announced the appointment of a new health and safety manager.

Oil and gas industry stalwart James Murphy will take up the role of Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) manager at the company, which offers support services to the oil and gas, marine, renewable energy and nuclear industries.

James takes on his new role having previously worked in the energy sector for more than 45 years. He has worked predominantly in senior management positions within energy firms operating in the UK and globally.

Enerpro says his wealth of experience in both the onshore and offshore sectors has seen his expertise extend across multiple industries including service companies, drilling and construction firms, and fabrication and pipeline companies.

He said: “My initial focus will be to provide HSEQ support to ensure Enerpro meets and exceeds its customers’ expectations in terms of operational compliance.

“Enerpro is committed to offering a complete turnkey project management service and I am looking forward to playing a key role in the management and delivery of the company’s integrated work scopes with safety, quality and sustainability at the core of operations.”

Enerpro are specialists in drilling rig upgrades in both Mobile Offshore Drilling Units (MODU) and fixed offshore platforms. Its services also include project management, engineering design, construction, skilled manpower, scaffolding and surface preparation and coating.

The firm was established in 2015 and is headquartered in Thurso, with a regional office in Aberdeen and extensive rig repair quayside facilities throughout the UK and in strategic locations worldwide.
