Life science centre on track
A £6.5 MILLION life science centre for Moray is on track for an August opening.
The Alexander Graham Bell Centre on the Moray College UHI campus will become a centre of excellence in research, health training and conferencing.
Named after the famous inventor who taught in Elgin for a number of years, the centre is a joint project between Moray College UHI and NHS Grampian, with European funding and support also from Highlands and Enterprise.
The centre will boast conference and community facilities on the ground floor, teaching classrooms for the college and NHS on the middle floor and research and health training facilities on the top floor.
The facility is seen as a key driver in the regeneration of the Moray economy.
Mike Devenney, principal of Moray College UHI, said the centre is something everyone in Moray can be proud of.
Constructed by Morgan Sindall, the centre is due to be officially opened in the second week of August.
