Coach Davie Anderson, who took over the running of the primary school shinty team 16 years ago, and his current crop made a clean sweep of all the outdoor trophies they entered this season.

It is the first time the feat has been achieved with Anderson (back left) at the helm. He has been ably assisted by fellow coaches Ian Borthwick (back right) and Dallas Young (front right).

The trio are pictured with the junior Kingussie players who swept all before them, including the black caman won by Robert Shiells in the recent Williamson Cup Final, the Mackay Cup, the Tulloch’s League Trophy, the Williamson Cup, the Alan Macpherson Cup, the Creag Meagaidh Sixes Trophy, the Primary School Girls’ Six-a-side Shield, The North Primary Fives trophy and the two player of the match cup final trophies won by Alexander Michie this season.

After the last training session of the season, the players presented Anderson with a framed picture of this year’s squad of players along with a card and a collection of £350 taken to buy new equipment for the school’s next primary teams.

The players pictured are: Daniel Thain, Robert Shiells (captain of the sixes team), Finlay Downie, Kieran Macpherson, Alexander Michie, Daniel Donald, Rachel Borthwick(Capt of the 12-a-side team), Sean Macwhirter, Ruaridh Anderson, Dylan Borthwick, Kyle Paterson, Roddy Young, Bradley Harvie, Kieyrn McGibbon, Liam Borthwick and Edmund Denman.
