Plans to dual A96 get cautious welcome

OPTIONS for where the new dual carriageway will run through Moray have been narrowed right down.

One of the proposed options now involves a road being built opposite the Eight Acres Hotel in Elgin.

This would lead south-west across fields until it connected with the dual carriageway as it passed south of the town

Consultants working for Transport Scotland have just published their updated plans. These can be viewed online here

People have until September 14 to give their opinions.
