Niven earns point for Elgin

ELGIN earned a share of the points with a 1-1 draw at Annan.

City fell behind after 17 minutes when Jack Steel scored for the home side.

However, David Niven levelled for Ross Jack's side after 29 minutes......

City made a change before the break with Craig Gunn coming on for Mark Nicolson.

Half time at Galabank and City are level at 1-1.

This is a crucial game as City trail Annan by eight points but have three games in hand.

The second half is underway in what could be a big 45 minutes for the visitors.

Runaway league leaders Alloa trail 1-0 at home to Berwick Rangers thanks to a Damon Gray penalty (59).

Steve Swinglehurst has picked up a yellow card for Annan Athletic.

Paul Millar has been replaced byJason Crooks (75) as City go in search of a winner.

In a last throw of the dice, manager Ross Jack has replaced Brian Cameron with Paul McMullan.

A late blow for City with young defender Mark Durnan sent off but City hold on for a point.
